The issue of sexual harassment is a serious concern, and our institute is committed to ensuring a safe and inclusive learning environment for all students and staff. To this end, we have established an Anti-Sexual Harassment Cell that is responsible for addressing any instances of sexual harassment that may occur on our campus.
The Anti-Sexual Harassment Cell is guided by the Vishakha Guidelines, which were laid down by the Supreme Court of India in 1997. These guidelines provide a framework for dealing with complaints of sexual harassment and establish clear procedures for addressing such complaints.
As per the Vishakha Guidelines, our institute has appointed a dedicated Complaints Committee to receive and address complaints of sexual harassment. The committee comprises of experienced and impartial members who are trained to handle such complaints in a sensitive and confidential manner. They are also responsible for providing support to complainants and ensuring that appropriate action is taken against the accused.
Our institute has also taken steps to create awareness about sexual harassment and its impact. Regular workshops and seminars are conducted to educate students and staff about what constitutes sexual harassment, how to recognize it, and what steps can be taken to prevent it.
Overall, our institute is committed to maintaining a safe and secure learning environment for all its members, and the Anti-Sexual Harassment Cell plays a crucial role in ensuring that this commitment is upheld.By following the Vishakha Guidelines and creating awareness about sexual harassment, we hope to create a campus that is free from harassment and discrimination.
